Child Safety Standards
Last updated: November 3, 2026
Tuvo™ is for adults 18 and over, and we have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). These standards apply to the Tuvo™ app (Tuvo™: Meet Halfway on Google Play), to tuvodate.com and to everyone who uses them. Tuvo™ is run by Tuvo Ltd., an Alberta corporation based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
1. What we prohibit
In these standards, a child or minor means anyone under 18. Nobody may use Tuvo™ to sexually abuse or exploit a child. That includes:
Creating, sharing, requesting, storing or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM), whether it's real, drawn, edited or made with AI.
Grooming: contacting or building trust with a minor for a sexual purpose, or trying to meet one.
Sexualizing a minor in words, photos, voice prompts or any other content.
Threatening or pressuring a minor over sexual images (sextortion), or trafficking a minor.
2. Keeping minors off Tuvo™
You must be 18 or older to use Tuvo™. Everyone gives their birthdate at sign-up, and both the app and our server check it.
Anyone we find to be under 18 is removed, even if nothing else went wrong.
3. How we watch for problems
The Tuvo™ team reviews reports from members. The app also automatically checks the first few messages someone sends in a new chat for things like links or requests to move to another app, and flagged messages go to our team.
A person on our team decides what happens next. Staff access to private conversations is limited and logged.
4. How to report a concern
In the app: open your chat with the person or their Discover card, tap ⋯, tap Report, choose Underage and tell us what you saw. To report one message or photo, long-press it, tap Report this message or Report this photo and choose Something else. Reports go straight to the Tuvo™ team and stay confidential.
Without the app: email legal@tuvodate.com. You don't need a Tuvo™ account.
If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local police first.
In Canada, you can also report to Cybertip.ca, the national tipline for online child sexual exploitation.
Please don't save, screenshot or send us an image you believe shows child sexual abuse. Tell us where you saw it instead.
5. What we do when we get a report
We put child safety reports first, and we aim to review every report within 24 hours.
When we find CSAE, we remove the content, permanently ban the accounts involved, and report it to the police and to Cybertip.ca.
We keep the related information that the law requires us to preserve for police, and we don't tell the person involved when that could harm an investigation.
6. Following the law
Tuvo Ltd. follows the child safety laws that apply to it, including Canada's Criminal Code and its law on mandatory reporting of child sexual abuse material by internet services. We work with police and with regional and national authorities on child safety cases.
7. Who to contact
Our founder is Tuvo Ltd.'s designated contact for child safety and can speak to how Tuvo™ prevents child sexual abuse material and follows these standards. Contact: legal@tuvodate.com.
